The Catterpillar’s Chronology

Cuddly caterpillar crawling and crackling the crispy leaves

I’m a tiny, little caterpillar

In search of a lush, green house

And some leafy, tummy-filler

And a big, comfy, brown couch

In my mini green-house

I’ll sleep and loll all day

And the leafy, food from the boughs

Will make me ‘laxed and gay.

Then I’ll gnaw and chew

My green neighbour for a month

So that my stomach brew

With nutrition and some good lards.

But, soon the time will arrive

To bid the green-house goodbye

As my silvery wings strive

To span the limitless blue sky.
